What we collect, and why.
Plain language, not a legal wall of text. If something here isn't clear, that's on us to fix.
When you just visit the site
We assign your browser an anonymous visitor ID (a random code, stored in a cookie — not your name, phone, or email) so we can tell "one returning visitor" apart from "ten different people." Alongside that we record your IP address, browser/device type, screen size, language, timezone, which page you landed on, and where you came from (referrer/campaign links). None of this identifies you personally on its own, and we don't build a device fingerprint out of it.
Why we collect it
- Understanding where interest in Druooz is coming from before we launch, so we know which cities/areas to prioritize.
- Basic security and abuse prevention (stopping spam/bot submissions on our registration forms).
- Spotting likely duplicate form submissions — flagged for a human to review, never used to silently block or reject anyone.
When you register (Customer / Driver / Vendor)
We store what you enter in the form — name, phone, email, city/state, and your answers to the questions on that form. We attach the same anonymous visitor ID, your IP address, and where you came from, automatically — you don't have to enter any of that yourself.
Location
We only ever access your device's GPS location if you tap "Share Current Location" yourself and your browser asks you for permission. We never collect location just because you visited the site. If you'd rather not share it, you can type in your City and State manually instead — that's treated the same way.
One person, multiple roles
If you register as a customer and later also as a driver or vendor, that's completely fine and expected — we don't treat that as a duplicate or a problem. Duplicate checks only compare you against other submissions of the same registration type (e.g., another customer signup with the same phone number), never across different roles.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't put your name, phone, email, or GPS coordinates inside the tracking cookie itself.
- We don't use invasive fingerprinting (canvas, audio, font-probing) to identify you.
- We don't secretly track your location — only when you explicitly ask us to.
Questions or want your data removed?
Reach out to us and we'll sort it out — this is a small, pre-launch team, so it'll be a real person reading it, not a support queue.
